U.S.-Vietnam Cooperation on Economic Development, Trade and Investment.
The US Vietnam Business Center in HCM City – UVBC - is being organized to provide American companies with a most cost effective way to develop business opportunities in Vietnam using well-established networks and support provided by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the US Vietnam Chamber of Commerce.

On December 06, 2007, UVCC Vice Chairman Hien Cung hosted a networking reception to meet with a group of Vietnamese company executives in Ha Noi at the American Club. The group was greeted by the Hon. Michael Michalak, the US Ambassador to Vietnam. |
December 1, 2007: UVCC joined the Vietnamese American Entrepreneur Association, the Vietnamese Strategic Ventures Network (VSVN) and the Vietnamese Business Association (VBA) in co-hosting a reception in the San Francisco Bay area to Bid farewell to Consul General of Vietnam in San Francisco Dr. Tuan-Anh Tran and also to raise funds to support flood victims in Central Vietnam.
November 27, 2007: A 12-member delegation from Vietnam arrived in New York to start a 10-day trip in the US under a cultural exchange program organized by the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese in HCM City. The delegation also plans to meet with members of the US Vietnam Chamber of Commerce in various cities to explore business cooperation especially with the Vietnamese American companies.
November 27, 2007: UVCC Chairman Chris Runckel spoke to the Evergreen Building Products Association (EPBA)(www.ep.org) and U.S.-China Build Center for International Trade in Forest Products (www.uschinabuild.org) at their annual meeting in Seattle on Vietnam and the opportunities offered their for EBPA members.

Participants included Mr. Tho Luu, UVCC Director, Seattle Chapter, Mr. Mike McCarthy, a professor from University of Bellevue, WA, Mr. Victor Tran of Vantage International Inc., Mr. Dzung Le of Vietnam Trading LLC and Mr. Trung Trinh, UVCC Executive Director.

More than 50 participants has participated in a seminar on "Accessing to a New Vietnam" which was organized and coordinated by the Vietnam Strategic Venture Network, The US Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce in Orange County, CA.
Speakers of the events included Mr. Than Trong Phuc, Country Manager of Intel, Vietnam, Mr. Randal Porter, President of Richport Industries, Mr. Thomas Treutler, an attorney on Intellectual Property, Mr. Martin Selander, Manager of the US Export Assistance Center and Mr. Trung Trinh, UVCC Executive Director.
